SDN48 is AKB48 sister group, and was created by Yasushi Akimoto based on
an “adult idol” concept. The group recently made its debut with their
first single “Gagaga” and this week they are appearing on the cover of
Weekly Playboy.
The 12 members featuring in the photoshoot were the same girls that were
selected from the senbatsu to debut in their first single. All the
girls were over the age of 20
SDN48 adalah grup wanita idola Jepang yang dibentuk dan diproduseri oleh Yasushi Akimoto. SDN48 dibentuk pada tahun 2009 berdasarkan konsep "idola dewasa". Mantan anggota AKB48 Kayo Noro dipilih sebagai kapten SDN48. Singel pertama grup ini, "Gagaga" dirilis oleh label mayor Universal Music Japan pada 24 November 2010.
Grup ini dinamakan SDN48 karena tampil secara teratur setiap Sabtu malam Minggu (Saturday Night) di Teater AKB48, Akihabara, Tokyo.
Meskipun demikian, grup ini juga tampil siang atau malam pada hari
biasa. Semua anggotanya diluluskan secara massal pada 31 Maret 2012, dan
semua kegiatan SDN48 dinyatakan berakhir.
